Residents, community organisations and businesses are invited to attend a community forum on coal mining and coal seam gas exploration and extraction in the Upper Hunter Shire area. The community forum will take place Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 September at the Upper Hunter Shire Council Chambers.
The intention of the community forum is to ensure that Upper Hunter Shire Council is fully and accurately informed when making its determinations regarding these activities within the Shire.
"Upper Hunter Shire Council is inviting representatives from all sides of the debate to present their case at the community forum" said Mayor Lee Watts.
