Australian Greens Party Leader Bob Brown has challenged a key assumption of the carbon pricing package he negotiated with Julia Gillard, declaring “the jury is out” on whether switching from coal to gas for electricity will deliver the emissions savings the government’s greenhouse modelling assumes.
