Qld Govt Says Mining Buffer Zones May Change

 Less than 24 hours after it announced a ban on mining exploration near urban areas, the Queensland Government says it could change the details of the scheme.

The Premier was unequivocal yesterday, saying there would be no more exploration activity within two kilometres of a town of 1,000 or more people.

But today Anna Bligh says she's willing to take the views of the community and the mining industry into account.

 If you can judge the outlook of the mining industry by its exploration then it's in rude health.
