Santos Chief Says 'Misinformation' Surrounding Coal Seam Gas Debate

CRITICS of coal seam gas are peddling misinformation and nonsense, energy company Santos says.   

Hitting back in the debate over the burgeoning industry, SA's biggest company urged a higher level of scientific understanding about the issue.

Nonetheless, Santos managing director David Knox conceded the industry was failing to make its case effectively.

"The community does have legitimate concerns," Mr Knox said yesterday.
