ABC radio's flagship rural program Queensland Country Hour had to remind the unelected leader of the LNP Campbell Newman in an interview today that mining generated jobs and millions of dollars in royalties for Queenslanders.
Mining Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said while the State Labor Government has sensible, workable solutions that protect jobs and safeguard the environment, the LNP is all over the shop with on-again, off-again policies.
"To make matters worse, mining magnate and LNP financial backer Clive Palmer's coal interests are also at risk of being railroaded by Campbell Newman," he said.
