The Guyra-based Liberal MLC in the Upper House, Scot Macdonald, says he looks forward to the coal seam gas inquiry examining all sides of the debate.
Energy and Resources Minister Chris Hartcher announced the parliamentary investigation at the weekend.
The Shooters and Fishers Party's Robert Brown will chair the inquiry, while Greens' MLC Jeremy Buckingham has been appointed deputy chairman.
Mr Macdonald says the state has to get its energy needs right for the future but it has to consider local communities in that process. Read More
