Resources Minister Martin Ferguson told Sky News Mr Abbott had said foreign investment was not welcome in Australia.
"He (Mr Abbott) sent a very clear message to the international community, and Australia is built on the back of foreign investment, that he is not as open-minded about foreign investment as others," Mr Ferguson said.
