North coast farmers are demanding Metgasco be honest about its future coal-seam gas mining operations in the region.
The company last week said it may need to use fracking at some time in the future to fully exploit deposits in the Clarence-Moreton Basin.
Casino dairy farmer, Terry Toohey, says previously Metgasco assured landholders it would not use the technique because of environmental concerns.
