Port: dredging not to blame for turbidity breach

The Gladstone Ports Corporation insists dredging is not to blame for water turbidity levels exceeding set limits.

Water quality in Gladstone Harbour is monitored at 16 sites for turbidity, salinity, nutrients and metals.

The turbidity of the water breached levels set in licensing conditions at two sites on Thursday and remains high.

One of the sites is inside the Harbour and the other near Facing Island.
