QUEENSLAND'S farmers are locked in a battle with miners over access to grazing land in the hunt for more coal and mineral reserves.
The state could blow its $250 billion mining boom unless the impasse can be broken, a report warns.
The top-secret Land Access Review Panel report, obtained exclusively by The Courier-Mail, highlights the dilemma facing the Newman Government to stop Queensland's multibillion-dollar mining boom going bust.
The top-level report, commissioned by the previous state government and now in the hands of the Newman Government, reveals Queensland's red tape burden is making it "difficult to impossible" for resource explorers to do business.
But it also warns farmers are under siege from a tidal wave of mining exploration.
