The Gladstone Regional Council is asking the Coordinator General to add more stringent conditions to Arrow Energy's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for its proposed Curtis Island LNG plant.
Councillors at their meeting today expressed their anger over the EIS, saying they felt the council had been left high and dry, with no room to move.
They want the Corodinator General to force Arrow to contribute $25 million to the Gladstone Foundation within 90 days of the Final Investment Decision (FID), and further $25 million within 90 days of starting construction.
More details as they come to hand.
