PROTESTERS are continuing to stop the construction of a CSG wastewater holding pond at Shannon Brook near Casino through an ongoing blockade.
As many as 30 protesters held the line at the weekend by blocking the entrance to the site.
A call has been put out to help maintain a vigil to prevent any further works and protesters say they have no plans to leave any time soon.
The activists say a Metgasco ute was seen arriving at the site about 6.40am yesterday, stopping about 100m from the protesters before turning and driving away.
Spokesman for the Richmond Valley Group Against Gas Dean Draper said there had been a groundswell of support for the blockade.
