COAL seam gas and the Native Vegetation Act were the main items on the agenda when the NSW Farmers Association's Touching Base Tour passed through Moree last Wednesday.
Other agenda items included an economic update, a grains update and an outline of the NSWFA strategic plan.
The event was attended by NSWFA president Fiona Simson, NSWFA CEO Matt Brand and state Liberal upper house member Scot MacDonald. About 100 farmers joined them.
Mr Brand said the aim of the Touching Base Tour was to gather feedback that would then be used to influence policy recommendations made to the State Government.
Local farmers nominated in advance that CSG and the NVA were the two issues most important to them, according to Ms Simson.
