Anti CSG Petition Sent After Property Sale

It's hoped a petition with more than a-thousand signatures will put pressure on the New South Wales Government to follow the actions of other states affected by coal mining and coal seam gas.

The Hunter Valley Protection Alliance has set up the petition opposing coal seam gas extraction in the Broke-Bulga district, after AGL bought a property belonging to the estate of the late CSG critic David Clarke.

Graeme Gibson is the spokesman for the Alliance, he told Mike Pritchard his organisation wants protection.

And Nathan Vass from AGL says there are a number of instances where exploration and mining by AGL has worked in well with local communities and he thinks they need to improve the way they get their message across.
