The chief of Australia's Climate Commission, Tim Flannery, said today that a report saying he was a "backer" of the coal-seam gas industry is wrong and he had been seriously misprepresented.
"The Australian portrayed me as a 'backer' of the coal-seam gas industry," Mr Flannery said, referring to a keynote speech he delivered at the Minerals Council's environment and community conference in Wollongong.
He said he was "very disappointed that the headline of the article seriously misrepresents my view and bears no resemblance to the speech I delivered".
