A Greens advertisement hitting out at coal seam gas mining is about to air on Queensland regional TV.
The party launched the advertisement in Brisbane on Thursday, saying it's time to protect farmland and water from coal seam gas mining.
It said the CSG industry is planning to drill up to 40,000 wells in Queensland by 2030, taking a minimum of one hectare each of prime agriculture land.
Greens Party leader Bob Brown said that with the population having trebled sincehe was born, food security needs to be a priority.
