Hume Coal (aka Posco) Seeking Access for Exploratory Drilling : Meeting Sutton Forrest, NSW

Korean Steelmaker POSCO via subsidiary Hume Coal has sent out a letter by registered mail to many landowners in the SUTTON FOREST Coal Lease asking landowners to agree to an Access Agreement.

They want to rapidly expand their drilling activities.

We recommend that Landowners tell Hume representatives to GO AWAY and LOCK THE GATE.

Landowners should not agree to anything orally as this can be legally binding.

Hume Coal can’t enter your land until a Land Access Agreement is agreed in writing and there is a very clearly defined process under the law.

A detailed letter is in the mail to affected Landowners with more information.

A LANDOWNERS MEETING will be held at the Sutton Forest Community Hall on Wednesday April 18 at 7pm.

Come along and discuss this aggressive new tactic and what we can do about it.
Drew Hutton, President of the LOCK THE GATE Alliance, will address us and give us the benefit of his experience.

Please RSVP to Kim Martin on 0412 443 142 or info@shoocockatoo.com
