Fyfe has mining and coal seam gas in its sights.

Fyfe’s managing director, Mark Dayman, said the purchase, for an undisclosed sum, would significantly boost Fyfe’s overall engineering expertise and open up further opportunities in the mining and resources sectors.

“Structural engineering was the missing piece of our service offering and this acquisition fully addresses it,” he said.

“Not only will it help us expand our offering in the coal seam gas area, where we have enjoyed rapid growth, but it will enable us to move more fully into the mining sector.

“Of particular immediate advantage for Fyfe is that TJA has Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation and will be able to take over some of the services that Fyfe has subcontracted to other companies in that state in the past.
