THE NSW government and mining groups have warned regional communities to be wary of alliances with opponents of coal-seam gas mining after revelations that some anti-CSG groups are linked to the far Left.
NSW Resources Minister Chris Hartcher said yesterday: "People have every right to question the agenda of public bodies and ought to be wary of organised political organisations masquerading as grassroots community groups."
The Australian has learned one of the largest anti-CSG groups in NSW -- the Wollongong-based Stop CSG! Illawarra -- shares a mailing address with a range of ultra-Left organisations and publications.
