THE Scenic Hills Association has warned landholders to be wary of AGL water monitoring programs.
The gas giant has been carrying out water testing to obtain baseline water figures before any coal seam gas drilling goes ahead.
But the Scenic Hills Association said the program was progressing the Camden Gas Project’s northern expansion into Campbelltown before the state government had even given the project approval.
“AGL does not yet have approval to put a coal seam gas field into the hills, so no water monitoring is needed,” an association spokeswoman said.
