Great show of force Saturday in the Northern Rivers. We do NOT WANT CSG. The organisers did a brilliant job of bringing this event together. If you are not convinced about the negative effects of CSG on humans then you need to listen to people like Brian Monk who lives with gas wells surrounding his property. They are now threatening to take him to court if he denies them access to place wells and an evaporation pond on his property.

And there are sure to be many more out there suffering the same fate, but they have been silenced with a "gag order" not to talk about their situation. We will NOT allow this to happen in the Northern Rivers, all of these people at this rally will blockade each and every drill rig that enters our region, and it is as simple as that. CSG Free Northern Rivers brought 7,000 people to the streets of Lismore on Saturday in a colourful and outspoken show of solidarity against Coal Seam Gas Mining in the region. And concerns over coal mining loom not far behind in a groundswell push to renewable energy sources.
