It will be your children and grandchildren.
Because when they grow up, they will have to face the truth of what we allowed to happen to our prime agricultural land. How we let the politicians sell us out: How they dug it up for Coal Mines, damamged the aquifiers for Coal Seam Gas, poisoned the water and poured salt across the land you see, there are kids in Queensland who are being forced to live right next to CSG wells right now - and there are going to be thousands more.
They breathe in Benzen and Toluene for breakfast. They have permanent headaches and they bleed from their noses and ears. Premier Bligh and Campell Newman pretend that they don't even exist.
The Bligh Government gave us Coal Seam Gas, and future premier Newman says Coal Seam Gas is a once in a lifetime boom.
The farmers will be the hosts for the miners, he says, rolling in the riches as they watch their land destroyed.
But Campbell Newman doesnt come from the bush, does he?
Ashgrove is the centre of his universe.
He doesnt love the land, he doesnt love the people - and he has never called it his community.
So before you go to vote on Saturday, ask yourselves these questions:
Who will pay all the medical bills?
Who will cover the cost of importing the food?
Where will the water come from?
If you want to do something to save our State on Saturday, you need to vote for the only parties that have promised a moritorium on Mining: The Katter Australia Party and the Greens. They are our only hope to slow down this madness.
VOTE FOR THE CHILDREN OF QUEENSLAND. IT’S THE DECENT THING TO DO.
