The Hunter Valley Wine Industry Association is hoping their newly released white paper will convince the State Government to quarantine their vines from coal seam gas mining.
The 48 page dossier put together by the Association and the Hunter Valley Protection Alliance explains how CSG activity poses a serious threat to winemaking and multi-million dollar wine tourism industry.
Copies have been sent to the State Government.
Leading winemaker Bruce Tyrrell says the industry is turning-up-the heat on the Government since the release of its draft land use strategy which leaves the door open to CSG miners.
