Protesters has vowed to continue their blockade of a coal seam gas (CSG) facility on southern Queensland's Darling Downs until Saturday's election.
Members of anti-CSG group, Lock the Gate, say a site at Wellcamp near Toowoomba is being used to train drill rig operators.
The protesters have vowed not to let any vehicles enter the drill rig training site at Wellcamp.
Farmer Heather Brown says they want to highlight the environmental and health damage they believe the industry is causing.
"As each one of these units go out, as each CSG well goes up, I understand the science of what's going to happen to these children with benzene and toluene going through," she said.
"This stuff causes cancer."
The Queensland leader of Katter's Australian Party, Aidan McLindon, has thrown his support behind the blockade.
Mr McLindon, the Member for Beaudesert, says the rig is owned by a Canadian company and is typical of the increasing foreign takeover of Australia's resources.
"In World War II they used to bomb countries - what they're doing now is buying us out," he said.
