Katter’s Australian Party leader Bob Katter, candidate for Southern Downs Ade Larsen and state leader Aidan McLindon at O’Mahony’s Hotel last night at a campaign meeting.
THERE were plenty of signs opposing coal seam gas mining as Katter's Australian Party leader Bob Katter arrived at O'Mahony's Hotel in Warwick to address a crowd of 80 last night.
Earlier in the day, Mr Katter visited Stanthorpe with state leader Aidan McLindon and candidate for Southern Downs Ade Larsen.
Mr Katter said a big issue of the election was re-regulation of the dairy industry.
"The price of milk to farmers was 59 cents a litre and it dropped to 41 cents the day after de-regulation," Mr Katter said.
"I resigned from the National Party a year or two after de-regulation of the dairy industry."
He said a burning issue in the state election campaign was coal seam gas.
