ICAC to Probe Macdonald-Medich Bribe Allegations

The New South Wales corruption watchdog has announced a public inquiry into allegations former Labor minister Ian Macdonald accepted bribes from property developer Ron Medich.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption has placed advertisements in today's newspapers advising of the hearing.

The ICAC is investigating claims Mr Macdonald received a $10,000 bribe plus services and hotel accommodation to promote the interests of Mr Medich in July 2009.

At the time Mr Macdonald was resources and energy minister in the former Labor state government.
