Greens put Forward 100 Amendments to Gridlock Mine's $525 million

SA Greens MLC Mark Parnell will put forwared 100 amendments to the Olympic Dam indenture Bill.

BHP Billiton's pledge to spend $525 million on the Olympic Dam mine expansion is in jeopardy because the Greens want almost 100 key legislative changes.   

Greens MLC Mark Parnell said his minority party was "not going to be cut short and stopped from asking the questions that need to be asked", despite bipartisan support from Labor and the Liberals.

But Mineral Resources Minister Tom Koutsantonis said of the Greens' move: "This is economic vandalism of the highest order."
