1. Harlow Resources
(PEL 443 - Eromanga Basin)
Based on the results of an airborne micro-magnetic survey, ground-based electro-telluric readings, reprocessing and interpretation of previous seismic data Harlow Resources, an independent Texas-based oil exploration company, has delineated several drillable prospects in the Bulloo Overflow area of the Eromanga Basin. These prospects are located in an area along the border with Qld where the petroleum-productive Mesozoic sequences are believed prospective for oil/gas. The multi-level targets are expected in several stratigraphic and structural traps sourced by either the underlying Permian graben source rock or via long distance migration from the petroleum- prolific province in the north. Harlow has just spudded the first well of a 4-well back-to-back drilling programme.

2. Hardie Infrastructure (PSPAuthority 12 - Eromanga,
Surat and Darling Basins)
A relatively new player into the oil exploration scene but with substantial experience in the property development, construction and downstream business particularly pipe-laying, Hardie Infrastructure has been granted the largest area in the north-western part of the State. The company intends to undertake a rigorous research/evaluation study to identify prime and prospective areas and the existence of effective petroleum systems in the Eromanga Basin, the western margin of Surat basin and northern portions of the untitled areas within the Darling Basin. The special prospecting authority gives Hardie one-year exclusive exploration rights to the area, which they expect to convert into petroleum
exploration licenses.

3. Eastern Star Gas (PEL 8, 422 and 424 - Darling
Basin)
The three Darling Basin licences, strategically located abreast the Moomba-Sydney gas pipeline in western NSW, are frontier exploration areas. The licences have a combined total area of over 17,000 square kilometres. The Darling Basin contains a very thick section of marine and non-marine sediments ranging in age from Cambrian to Permian but mainly Devonian. The main petroleum system is considered as the Cambrian and Early Devonian marine shale hydrocarbon sourcing either Cambrian carbonates sealed by Early Devonian marine shale, or Mid-Late Devonian sandstones sealed by Late Devonian red-bed shales. The company has plans to drill deep (>3000m) conventional petroleum well in one of their three prospects, one of which is a re-drill of the Pondie Range structure which shows AVO anomaly.
