SANTOS managing director David Knox is adamant Queensland's $50 billion's worth of LNG projects will go ahead.
This is despite political pressure from MP Tony Windsor.
Mr Knox, leading the development of the Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas project, said at a Brisbane lunch yesterday that he was disappointed with efforts in Canberra that have seen the independent MP link his support of the new mineral resource rent tax to a reassessment of coal seam gas developments.
Mr Knox said there was no doubt the projects would continue.
"They are approved. We (Santos) are spending $10,000 a minute. They are out of the box. They are on the go," he told an Australian Institute of Company Directors luncheon.
