Protesters have boarded a dredging ship in Gladstone in central Queensland to protest against a massive dredging project in the city's harbour.
Environmentalists have hung a banner off the side of the ship saying 'Save The Reef, Halt Dredging'.
They believe dredging to prepare for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry is damaging marine life and responsible for causing disease in fish.
Government reports says last summer's floods are responsible for the disease.
An activist also chained himself to a dredging barge for around 40 minutes before being removed by police.
He says he believes he delayed dredging in the harbour today.
