Update: Lock The Gate Blockade at Kerry, Queensland

Have just come back from three nights down at the LTG Kerry CSG blockade in the Scenic Rim, where I lived all my life before moving to Stanthorpe.
These locals are concerned about the impacts of this industry on their water and the future of their farms.
This industry cannot be allowed to continue until these concerns are addressed: 1. baseline water testing of all landowner bores; 2. an independent water study of all aquifers below the Scenic Rim and all interconnected aquifers; 3. guarantee of public consultation.
It is obvious that if Arrow Energy (owned by Royal Dutch Shell & PetroChina) does not agree to these requests, then they MUST expect that there will be contamination and do not want to have responsibility and culpability for their actions.
This is THE test case and will provide precedent in Qld for future CSG dealings. ARROW ENERGY HAS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO BE THE LEADER IN RESPONSIBLE CSG MANAGEMENT. PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR NEIGHBOURING REGION - THEY ARE CARRYING OUT A VERY BRAVE ACTION ON YOUR BEHALF. Send them messages of support or, better still, BE THERE AND JOIN THE BLOCKADE
