Before Christmas we heard that there were delays to the building of the new higher bridge over the Dawson River at Baralaba - that's been an ongoing issue in the area but it looks like Monday will be the day that work will resume.
Monday will be a busy day as it's also the day that the gas pipes will be arriving for the coal seam gas industry and will see improvements to the road between Calliope and Biloela finally open.
John Hooper the Mayor of Banana Shire Council has the latest news for you this morning and when I spoke with him I asked him for the latest on the Baralaba bridge.
