Fish kill not linked to Gladstone dredging: acting Premier

Another fish kill in central Queensland may not necessarily be linked to dredging in Gladstone Harbour, acting Premier Andrew Fraser says.

The Department of Environment and Resource Management is investigating Gladstone commercial fisherman Chris Sipp's discovery of about 15 barramundi with skin lesions in the Boyne River this week.

Fishing was banned for three weeks in Gladstone Harbour last year, when barramundi and other fish turned up with cloudy eyes and discolouration.
