TOOWOOMBA-BASED company Hutchinson Builders is fast gaining a reputation as the benchmark provider of temporary accommo- dation to the mining and gas sectors.
In a major coup for the company, Hutchinson Builders announced yesterday a contract worth $52 million to build 700 temporary accommodation units for the major player, Origin Energy.
The $52m forms part of $300m in contracts already secured by the Toowoomba company in the Surat Basin.
After undertaking a $1.5m expansion to its Toowoomba modular production facility to cope with demand, Hutchinson Builders are now capable of producing 2000 accommodation units each year.
