Come celebrate rural land, water and lifestyles at Rock The Gate Festival at the Tara Showgrounds. Celebrate the resistance to the destructive impacts of mining that is taking place at Tara and all over Queensland and spreading to the rest of the country.
This is a national get-together for music, workshops, community-building and peaceful protest actions around the issues of irresponsible coal seam gas and coal mining developments around the country, but especially in the low socio-economic rural residential estate at Tara. It’s home to 2000 people including many children but the gas companies have already begun pock-marking the estate with 100s of gas wells.
