FORMER Santos chief executive John Ellice-Flint plans to take a strategic and tactical role at coal-seam gas junior Blue Energy after accepting an invitation to join the board as an executive director.
Confirmation of Mr Ellice-Flint's mooted appointment came yesterday as the company announced that it had secured $10 million in funding via a share placement at 6.25c a share with a range of private investors.
Blue Energy chairman Peter Cockcroft said Mr Ellice-Flint's role would include technical oversight of exploration activity in Blue Energy's portfolio of Queensland assets, pursuit of new-venture growth opportunities and building the current reserve base.
