Reality Bites Battered Blue Chips

FORMER Santos boss John Ellice-Flint has joined the board of Brisbane coal-seam gas hopeful Blue Energy on generous terms, which, all going well, will deliver him 10 per cent of the company. Ellice-Flint participated in the recent $10m placement, but Blue Energy boss John Phillips declined to comment on just how much he actually contributed.

The deal is subject to a shareholders' meeting in early April but the way it stands now, subject to approval, Ellice Flint collects a salary of $200,000 a year plus $3.5m worth of shares.
