THE threat of arrest did little to deter hundreds of protestors who marched on the Acland mine coal dump and rail loading facility in Jondaryan.
Radio personality Alan Jones and federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter were among the more than 300 protestors who marched on the site with the intention of blockading it in opposition to a stage three application to expand production at the Acland mine.
About 50 police were on hand to maintain order and direct traffic.
Prior to the march, protestors gathered to listen to Lock the Gate Alliance president Drew Hutton and representatives from The Greens and Katter's Australian Party before Mr Jones fired up the crowd in his trademark style.
