Greens target CSG, transport

Andy Grodecki of the Greens

PUBLIC transport and coal seam gas have been named as two key policy points by the Greens candidate to represent the Boonah region in State Parliament.

Andy Grodecki ran for the seat of Beaudesert in 2009, garnering 7% of votes in the traditionally conservative stronghold.

The seat was won by LNP candidate Aidan McLindon, who notably resigned to start his own party before joining Katter's Australia Party.

Mr Grodecki, who lives on a bush block north of Beaudesert, said he would continue his stand against coal seam gas exploration in the region.

"My commitment to this cause is as strong as ever and I understand the strength of feeling over this issue, not just in the Scenic Rim but across rural and regional Queensland," Mr Grodecki said.
