Tree death from saline water spill in Pilliga East State Forest Bohena 2D exploratory corehole, Eastern Star (now Santos).
This picture was taken in 2002. The forest has still not recovered eight years later because the water was so alkaline that it disolved leaf mulch on the forest floor (see images 12 and 13 in this document (Click Here) . So much for compatibility between coal seam gas mining and agriculture and forestry!
