SHANE HICKEY is deeply disturbed by the idea of having a pipeline pumping gas  at high pressure next to his home.
Mr Hickey lives on a rural block near Kyogle  directly in the path of a  proposed pipe that would take coal seam gas 145 kilometres from the Casino  district, across the NSW border to Ipswich in Queensland.
''It goes straight through my property, on a hill right above our house and  processing shed and animal storage, so if there is a leak or an accident, we  would be pretty much done for,'' he said. ''It's not safe.''
