SEAM stimulation sounds like something from a pornographic film. But it's the new term for fracking being used by the coal seam.
You can just imagine the spin doctor speaking to sceptical journalists: "No, of course we're not injecting highly toxic chemicals into fertile farming land. We're just giving the coal seam a bit of tickle!"
The truth is that companies like Dart Energy are fracking with us all. Dart holds an exploration licence for 2385sq km of the Sydney basin, from Gosford in the north to Coalcliff in the south.
