THE Federal National Party launched a Blitzkrieg on the QLD rural-coastal seat of Capricornia this week, absorbing stern messages of dissatisfaction with the government’s proposed carbon tax and “general malaise” over the crippling, snap Indonesian live cattle exports suspension in June.
Federal Nationals Leader, Warren Truss, led a bold political assault comprising 12 Nationals MP’s and Senators, including the party’s deputy Senate leader, Nigel Scullion and Shadow Agriculture Minister, John Cobb.
The Nationals descended on Rockhampton and surrounding areas during their two day field-trip, holding a formal party meeting and hearing concerns of local business owners.
