SEVEN Aboriginal tribes are joining forces to form a new battlefront in the gas wars raging in southwestern Queensland.
Tribes whose ancestral land sits under the planned Roma-to-Gladstone gas pipeline have united for the first time to reject Australia Pacific LNG's compensation offers.
The unanimous rebuff is a setback for the project, which traverses the lands of Iman, Mandandanji, Western Wakka Wakka, Cobble Cobble, Yiman, Jarowair and Barunggam.
