ANZ Bank's landmark report on economic opportunities for Australia, published yesterday, forecasts that Australia's resource and food export sectors will more than double by today's values over the next 20 years, from $210 billion to $480bn.
It says the mining and energy service sector is not only bigger than most people think, representing more than half the companies listed on the ASX when added to explorers and producers, but also the most likely beneficiary of what author Angus Taylor sees as "one of the greatest economic opportunities in Australia's history".
