An environmentalist chained to a drilling rig eight metres off the ground in protest against coal mining in Bacchus Marsh says he won't budge until he's forcibly removed.
Shaun Murray, of the Switch Off Coal group, said he had been chained to the rig by a pair of thumbcuffs since 6.30am in protest against Mantle Mining's test drilling across Moorabool Shire.
Mr Murray said he had a small group of supporters below, with police and mining officials watching on.
