Farmers Want Right to Veto Land Access

NSW farmers are calling on the state government to give property owners the right to refuse mining companies access to their land.

In its submission to the parliamentary CSG Inquiry, released on Monday, the NSW Farmers association says property owners should have the right to veto access to their land.

"Under the current system here in NSW, property owners are legally forced to give access to mining companies, otherwise they can be taken to arbitration, or to court," association president Fiona Simson said in a statement.   Read More
