The uncertainty about farmers' rights when it comes to exploration for mining and coal seam gas has prompted a public meeting in the north west.
The Narrabri Shire, which has a number of Petroleum Exploration Licences and projects in the pipeline, has invited the Environmental Defenders' Office to inform people what they are entitled to do.
