PROTESTERS chained themselves together in the Melbourne office of a mining company’s financial underwriter as they stepped up their campaign against exploration of brown coal in Bacchus Marsh.
About a dozen Bacchus Marsh residents joined a 100-strong protest rally against Mantle Mining’s exploration plans for Moorabool Shire.
The group arrived at Cygnet Capital’s Melbourne office last Thursday, calling on the underwriter to withdraw its financial support of the miner’s Bacchus Marsh development.
