Budget Must Help NSW Grow the Best

NSW Farmers is hopeful the first O’Farrell Government Budget due to be handed down next week, will commit to ongoing research to allow farmers in this State to continue growing the best.
President Fiona Simson says priority should be given to boosting investment in rural research and development from $80 million to $120 million a year.
“Farmers are under intense pressure to produce more with less. Innovative farming is the best way local farmers can meet the growing demand for food,” Fiona said.
